Between October 2018 and March 2019, we run Team Buildings for 6 different departments within Total Kenya. This is a breakdown of what was achieved.

Most of the teams that we were running team buildings for had varied needs but we still needed to create a unified experience. Some teams wanted an only fun experience, while others want clear outcomes points brought out during the sessions. We took the following teams through Team Building Sessions:

1. Planning and Supply Department
2. Human Resources Department
3. Lubricants in the Commercial Department
4. Network in the Commercial Department
5. Total Cards Department
6. Business to Business Department

Because we are working with various departments, we needed to balance between individual department needs and a global consistent experience. The best way to do this was have at least one team building product that would cut across each department – the most obvious product was the just launched Go Team team building product.

In an Amazing Race themed activity Go Team is installed on iPad tablets. The application features a unique follow arrow that helps guide teams to their waypoints. Once members arrive at their destination, GPS-triggered challenges are issued to the teams in the form of questions, clues and pictures that they will work together to complete. Go Team is also the only app based and exploration team building product in East Africa.

The Team Buiding sessions were held in various locations – The Great Rift Valley Lodge, Enashipai Resort and Spa, and Windsor Golf and Country Club. Go Team allowed us not only to have consistency of experience but also have the participants explore these great locations.

Each of the sessions started with a team building product (either Tujuane or Decipher Sequence) that helped energize the participants, helped them get to know one another and explored various team aspects such as:

• Protecting and caring for one another, from internal or external threats
• Communication
• Problem Solving
• Managing Resouces

We then spent 3 hours in the afternoon with each of the teams on the Go Team team building product. We used the application to explore the following business benefits:

• Cross Functional Cooperation
• Competition, and being prepared within the market
• Text, video and photo challenges around the company’s mission, vision and values
• Departmental goals brought out through video and photo challenges
